Mia is trying to figure out where her life is heading and what her passion is. She meets Will on a plane to NYC and instantly feels a connection with him that she is unwilling to show. Will feels that same connection and decides to patiently wait until she is ready to move forward. Does Mia figure out what she wants before Will walks away for good? Can Will wait long enough for her to figure out her life? Will these two end up Happily Ever After? Now I only had one issue with this book, but first what I loved. The idea and plot of this book were fun and unique. I love a book that includes music lyrics or poetry and this one had a little bit of both. The author had a fun and interesting writing style that kept you guessing with a new twist every once in a while. The flow and pace were perfect for this particular book. Now the characters. While I love all of the characters I had some issues with a few of the characters traits. First, I am not a fan of wishy washy characters like Mia, I mean come on you either want to be with him or you don't. Second, Will's neurotic behavior was just a little too much at some points. I understand having an issue with flying but there were a few times I was just like that is too much.
All in all it was a great book and I am already forging ahead with book two. I look forward to learning more about these characters and seeing them grow together. I swooned a little bit at the end of this book because some of the things Will does or says are swoon-worthy. Can't wait to read more by this author and I have added another author to my must read authors list.

Sweet Thing A Novel eBook Renée Carlino Reviews
So this is my third Renée Carlino book, and my least favorite. I absolutely LOVED Before we Were Strangers, ans Swear on This Life. Both books were incredible. This one? Not so much. I was disappointed in the main character Mia. She was immature, dramatic, and a little nasty with her attitude. She was willing to date someone who was obviously an ass just because he had a wall street job. She looked down on Will because he didn't have a high paying job, and she was downright nasty sometimes for no good reason. No one is that insensitive towards someone they care about. She was privileged and complained too much about things that are unimportant. Also, the expression "his eyes kissed mine" was repeated too many times. Only reason I gave 3 stars, is because of Will; who truly is a good person and deserved better. Please don't judge the author's writing based on this book; in my opinion skip it, and read the other two I mentioned above. You won't regret it.
Why I waited this long to read this book I'll never know. But it was the perfect read for a snowy afternoon!
Sweet Thing is just that, sweet, and so much more. It felt like a true spiritual journey for me. Going along with Mia Kelly on her self-discovery trip to find out who she truly is, after the death of her beloved Pops. Returning to where it all started for her now divorced parents, Mia taking over her dad's funky place of business, rekindling her fierce love of music and meeting the kindred spirit in Will, I was completely captivated from page one. I felt every emotion that Mia felt, was equally frustrated by her lack of decision making as she was and was on her side when
everything seemed to come crashing down around her. I knew she could find her way and I was thrilled to be able to watch and experience her reawakening.
The author made this story so relatable. It was easy to see where Mia was going wrong and I completely understood the need to follow the path she thought she should follow instead of the one that would make her happiest. But with a wildly sexy and swoonworthy man in Will by her side, I just knew it would all turn out exactly as it should.
The various musical references were the perfect touch and I found myself humming along to the songs mentioned. The additional secondary characters provided the necessary and sufficient support of our heroine. They never overwhelmed and set the story's pace with ease. I enjoyed meeting them and would love to hang out with them as well.
Simply a wonderful read that I recommend highly!
