A German classic for reading to children. It brings home the dangers of being a wayward child. Even now in this century I have been able to pursuade my daughter to read these to her son.
Max und Moritz - Eine Bubengeschichte in sieben Streichen Vollständige und kolorierte Fassung (Wilhelm Busch bei Null Papier 1) (German Edition) Great book! Read it as a child, but it's a pretty funny read for a grown-up.
The problem with this edition is that dictionaries do not work on . This is because the all the words in a line are linked so that the dictionary function thinks you are trying to look up several words at a time. A free PDF copy of the book can be obtained from Gutenberg.org.
Even I can almost still recite this book from my memories, it was great to find it in electronic version, so I can read it to my son, who is now also learning german.
It brought great childhood memories to life and I couldn't wait to download it/transfer it to my kindle.
Also, to rememeber the great writer Wilhelm Busch was and what important writing this is.
Kann ich nur empfehlen zu lesen.

these terrible children! they are so mean! they deserved to get baked into bread! it rhymes, which is nice for figuring out pronunciation on some of the words i don't recognize. i don't know much german, but the illustrations tell a compelling story.
